Sycamore Hill Gardens
Yesterday, Baltimore Woods Nature Center put an unbelievable amount of time and effort into setting everything up in this time of Covid 19, keeping everyone safe so we could open our gardens to the public and fundraise for the Woods. Its something we could never have done without them and we thank the Baltimore Woods; staff and volunteers for their abundance of caution, above and beyond safety measures, and untold hours of hard work!
For all the folks inquiring when we will be open again, we have no regular hours. Sycamore Hill Gardens is our home and we only open for charity events. We dont charge the not for profits; its just our way of giving back to the CNY community. Without their volunteers for parking, etc. we do not have the resources to open our gardens on a regular basis.
Our sincere thanks to Baltimore Woods for helping so many people enjoy the gardens again this year. And thanks so much to all of you for your interest and your kind words! We trust that 2021 will provide many more opportunities for all of you to visit our home, Sycamore Hill Gardens.Image attachment

We appreciate you sharing your wonderful property for these special events.

Thank you! It was a perfect day!

It's truely the prettiest garden I've ever seen

Thank you for opening your property up and supporting CNY! The weather was perfect to enjoy our day there.❤️

Always a pleasure to share the gardens, so looking forward to next year and many more events!!!

Many thanks for your generosity in sharing your beautiful gardens for the benefit of Baltimore Woods and others. We ourselves certainly benefitted by being there for a few hours of architected nature, quiet, calm and walking.

You are so generous to open your property for Baltimore Woods. Someday I will see your garden dressed in fall colors. xox

It was just perfect! Thank you so much!

Japanese Anenomes flowering at Sycamore Hill Gardens. These beautiful, but invasive, perennials enjoy shady beds. Growing in height to 3-4 feet they add color and textural contrast to our beds of large hostas. They also work well in flower arrangements, full, leafy stems for height, or cut as single flowers. And, they attract a large variety of pollinators. Carefree!

After 54 years of marriage, Im hoping this is not the year he wins the Darwin Award as inevitable as it may seem!

You should give that undergardener guy a raise and the rest of the day off! 😇

I need a machine like that.

It Werks

He is so invented. We miss y’all! Our house on the island sold too .

We were fascinated by this process when we were there (after my raffle win). I have a video- my husband and I thought his rigged device was brilliant!

Glad you retired the stilts!!

Hey, looking good Under-gardener ,

This is awesome, thanks for sharing!!

I love the maze. I wish the statue set at the center hadn't been altered to satisfy current trends. I feel grateful to have seen the original on several of my maze visits.

Hope you two,are well. Obviously no trip for us this year. All well here.

Mine bloomed 2 months ago. I do like them.

Invasive! A nightmare to control!!

It looks like my mystery plant. Blue flowers that open in the morning and that close when the sun gets too hot. It doesn't spread it stays where it's planted.

Kathleen Campbell, have you ever been to this place? We should go!

Maybe Kyle can drive us Alyse....??? I'd LOVE to go!

Brenda Aull-Klaben

Purchased multiple tickets for today and sad it cancelled with no refunds or a credit for another event which is weird especially when I purchased 4 tickets. I go for mothers day evey year.

Thanks to everyone who visited Marcellus Nuserys 33rd annual fall sale. The nursery had its best fall sale of the decade thanks to YOU! Remember, once you get your plants in the ground and mulched, fall rains will do most of your watering for you and plant roots will continue to grow right up until Christmas. Happy fall, happy planting, and happy spring when your new plants will have a big headstart because you planted them this fall!
